Baptisms - for infants, youth and adults can be arranged by calling the church office.
Weddings - premarital counseling is required for all couples desiring to affirm the marriage covenant.
Vacation Bible School (VBS) - the annual week-long event brings in Christian Education with arts, crafts and music.
Meeting Rooms - groups outside the church family may use rooms as schedule permits. Building use fees are requested by those persons interested in using the Church facilities.
Community and World Service - the Church serves beyond its walls through pastoral and lay ministry in designated programs of the United Methodist Church. Saint John's-Newberry serves the community by sharing its facilities with HeadStart, MS Self-Help Group, Cub and Boy Scouts, John Bower Sunday School Basketball Committee, Literacy Tutor Program, Red Cross Bloodmobile, AARP Tax Help and others.
Christian Caregivers - a group of our fellowship who aspire to provide Christian love and support for one another during times of need. Following hospitalizations and during experiences of crisis, those caregivers offer a wide variety of support and assistance. A collection of sick room supplies are also available from the Church on a loan basis.
Men's Fellowship Breakfast - a ministry of men of the church which meets on the second Saturday of each month for breakfast, fellowship, study, prayer and outreach activities for the church and community.
Church Library - a variety of quality books, audio-tapes and video tapes for all age levels is available for loan from the Church Library. Access to the Library is available during Church Office hours and Saturday evenings and Sundays during Worship, Study and Fellowship time.
Eucharistic Ministers - persons in this group are paired with the home-bound or nursing home persons of our worship community. On a rotational basis, the pastors and the Eucharistic ministers take Communion to our shut-ins.
